On August 26, the Securities and Exchange Commission published notice in the Federal Register regarding proposed rule changes that the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) had filed with the SEC. The changes would delete the order audit trail system (OATS) rules in the FINRA Rule 7400 Series and FINRA Rule 4554 once FINRA members are reporting to the consolidated audit trail (CAT) in accordance with certain standards.

Early teal season begins Tuesday and ends Sept. 30. Our first duck season "early teal" is not as popular as regular duck season, but it can be a lot of fun. It's also an opportunity to give your retrieving dogs a preseason workout.

The daily limit is six teal bluewing, greenwing or cinnamon teal in any combination. The possession limit is 18. Legal shooting hours are sunrise to sunset. Shooting hours in regular duck season begin 30 minutes before sunrise, but shooting hours in teal season are later because other species of ducks are present in Arkansas, and they often fly with teal. Delaying shooting until sunrise greatly reduces the chance of mistakenly shooting an unauthorized species.

To hunt teal you need a hunting license, a federal duck stamp, state duck stamp and Harvest Information Program registration.

On September 14, 2020, Coinbase Pro (for professional traders) users will be able to transfer  yearn.finance (YFI) tokens into their accounts ahead of scheduled trading. The San Francisco-based crypto exchange noted that support for YFI tokens will be available in all of its supported jurisdictions, but won’t be offered in New York State due to regulatory restrictions.

Coinbase confirmed that as “per previous launches, transfers will open during business hours, Pacific time.” It also noted that its customers are always requesting that the crypto exchange support trading for more digital assets on its platform. However, the exchange claims that all tokens must meet its strict and extensive listing requirements, before they’re considered.

The president of the Dutch central bank, Klaus Knot, said in Eurofi magazine of having more confidence in the European Central Bank economic projections. “Recently, forward-looking confidence indicators look robust, while high frequency data suggest that mobility is recovering. A former chief compliance officer at America Northcoast Securities, an advisory firm barred by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, has agreed to pay $65,000 as part of a settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for enabling an ex-broker to make risky trades without clients’ consent, according to the regulator.

In an order filed by the SEC Aug. 27, the regulator claimed Christopher R. Barone, 54, of Pepper Pike, Ohio “enabled” ex-ANS broker Dominic A. Tropiano to “solicit and place securities trades in 66 accounts of retail customers that Tropiano had recruited from the broker-dealer where he previously worked.”

Tropiano “engaged in unauthorized and unsuitable trading in the accounts of retail customers” with Barone’s “knowledge and substantial assistance,” the SEC said, adding Barone “willfully aided and abetted and caused” Tropiano and the firm to violate securities rules.

As I look outside the room of my window at The Standard East Village on this Saturday night in late summer, it offers an expansive view of Manhattan with the Empire State Building due north and Third Avenue below me. SpaceX has revealed the first successful test of Starlink satellite ‘space lasers’ in orbit, a significant step along the path to an upgraded “Version 2” constellation.

In simple terms, those “lasers” are a form of optical (light-based) communication with an extremely high bandwidth ceiling, potentially permitting the wireless, high-speed transfer of vast quantities of data over equally vast distances. Of the ~715 Starlink satellites SpaceX has launched over the last 16 months, some 650 are operational Version 1 (v1.0) spacecraft designed to serve a limited group of customers in the early stages of the constellation. Prior to SpaceX’s September 3rd announcement, it was assumed that none of those satellites included laser interlinks, but now we know that two spacecraft – presumably launched as part of Starlink-9 or -10 in August – have successfully tested prototype lasers in orbit.
