TwinanceBot: resolving shortened URLs
Some URL-shortening services used for publishing links on Twitter are blocked behind corporate firewalls although the target website or content is not. In order to allow users of twinance.co.uk to click through to linked content TwinanceBot attempts to look up the target link by following redirects until a non-3XX HTTP response code is received. TwinanceBot will make a page request for every link published. A maximum of 50 links are processed every 5 minutes across all the publishers that Twinance follows. Each Tweeted link will only be fetched once.Please contact us on @twinance063 in the event of any problems.
