The result – The Times Top 50 Employers for Women – is the country’s most high-profile and well-established gender equality listing, and winning a place on it is evidence of an organisation’s genuine commitment to a better working world for all.
Each company is assessed against robust criteria including not just equal pay and promotional opportunities, but also its ethos and the day-to-day experiences that are a crucial part of creating a fairer workplace.
Gender equality has made a lot of progress since BITC first began this list a decade ago, but there is still a long way to go. Here are ten good reasons why you should take action now:
