- If we end up in a No Deal #Brexit scenario, it will create massive economic damage for the sake of a few fish, and a hypothetical scenario about regulatory divergence. Crazy - surely not what most people who voted for #Brexit wanted or wishes for. Time for a 2nd Referendum?

- As @SkyNews has suspended Kay Burley for 6 months, can we please have a rebranding of their 7-10am weekday news programme, which is still described as Kay Burley at breakfast - which it clearly is not!

- Can the UK gov’t please cut all this talk of an Australian style trade deal. UK and Australia are at opposite sides of the world with very different trade flows (eg Aus is commodity producer; UK exports manufacturers and services). UK/Aus comparisons are very misleading.

- In the #Brexit talks, it feels like the UK gov’t is playing Russian Roulette with the British economy. Surely a pragmatic way forward can be found on the 2 remaining issues: level playing field and fish. We’ve had enough brinkmanship- now time to seal the deal!

- Contrast how Sky dealt with Kay Burley and her friends with the treatment of Dominic Cummings after the Barnard Castle incident. Cummings should have been suspended or fired. His treatment shows how weak #Boris is as PM.

- UK #GDP up slightly in October (0.4pc) but still nearly 8pc below the pre-pandemic peak. I estimate a drop of around 8pc in November due to the lockdown followed by a partial rebound in December. That would leave Q4 GDP about 2pc below Q3, a significant setback to recovery.

- David Cameron has a lot to answer for in terms of the current #Brexit muddle. He promised a UK in/out referendum - fair enough. But the referendum was called before we knew what Brexit would look like. A big mistake as it allowed Brexiteers to make many false claims & promises.

- Sad to say, @BorisJohnson brings our parliamentary system into disrepute when he deals with #PMQs. He deflects, obscures and often lies. He is a disgrace to our country and the sooner he is displaced from office, the better!

- If UK does not conclude a FTA deal with the EU, #Brexit should go down as the biggest fraud perpetrated on the British people. Brexiteers repeatedly claimed that we would maintain access to the Internal Market, seal an “oven-ready” deal etc. No deal would reveal this as a sham.

- Labour is being too timid. They should vote against the blundering and blustering #Boris gov’t and create a political crisis, as happened in 1940 after the Norway debate. Only after that can we get a sensible policy on #coronavirus and #Brexit.
