When Melinda Pollack reflects on the proudest moments of her career, she often thinks about the day in 2016 that Sanderson Apartments in Denver opened.

As a senior vice president with Enterprise Community Partners, Pollack has a long history in affordable housing development. Sanderson Apartments represents many of the qualities Pollack says that good — as well as affordable — housing should embody.

In May 2018, we joined the New York Red Bulls and Newark Public Schools to unveil a new initiative aimed at dramatically increasing access to safe places to play and evidence-based soccer programming at Newark Public Schools. Over five years, we will build 20 mini-pitches and engage more than 2,500 Newark students in Soccer for Success with New York Red Bulls, Newark Public Schools, and Wells Fargo.

Newark is the third municipality nationwide to make a major commitment to building safe places to play and expanding sports-based youth development programs for its youth.

When Romell Johnson took his fiancée, Monique Noel, to look at a three-level townhouse earlier this year, a moment they had long dreamed of began to unfold — in real life.
