Yes. Data collection for the establishment survey was affected by the pandemic. Approximately one-fifth of the establishments are assigned to four regional data collection centers for collection. Although these centers were closed during the collection period, interviewers at these centers worked remotely to collect data by telephone. Additionally, BLS encouraged businesses to report their data electronically. About one-quarter of the data that are typically collected by the data collection centers were instead collected by web this month. As a result, web collection represented 26 percent of July data, and Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) represented 11 percent.

Hours worked decreased 3.6 percent and output increased 3.9 percent in retail trade. In wholesale trade, productivity rose 3.6 percent in 2020, as output fell 2.6 percent and hours worked decreased 6.0 percent. The declines in hours worked for retail trade and wholesale trade were the largest since 2009.
Data from the European Working Conditions Surveys from 2005, 2010, and 2015 for 29 European countries show that the prevalence of nonstandard work schedules (evenings, nights, weekends, and rotating shifts) differs markedly across European regions with different public policies. Working nonstandard schedules also differs by education, gender, and parental status across Europe.
