    Philadelphia Fed Researchers Revise Seasonal Adjustments

    As of the April 2021 release, the Philadelphia Fed has adjusted the seasonal factors used to calculate the survey’s diffusion indexes and revised the full set of historical data.

  • The index for current manufacturing activity rose from a revised reading of 44.5 in March to 50.2 this month. The survey’s future indexes indicate that firms remain optimistic about growth over the next six months.

    Manufacturing conditions in the region continued to improve this month, according to firms responding to the April Manufacturing Business Outlook Survey. The indicators for general activity, shipments, and employment all rose. The firms continued to report increases in prices. The survey’s future indexes indicate continued optimism about growth over the next six months.

    Keys to Financial Success is a complete course plan for teaching personal finance to high school students. It is composed of 51 lessons designed to help you teach your students about personal finance using active and collaborative learning. There is a $50 registration fee for the professional development portion of the Keys to Financial Success; however, materials and program information are free.

    We deliver on our commitment to diversity and inclusion through the following initiatives:

    The Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) oversees our efforts to ensure diversity among our workforce, our suppliers, and in the Third District. The OMWI reports annually to Congress on our EEO data and on our accomplishments with respect to diversity goals.

    Our Supplier Diversity Program fosters opportunities for minority- and women-owned firms to do business with the Bank. We do this through employee training, and outreach and education to diverse suppliers.

    Good morning! It’s great to be back in Delaware. And thanks to the magic of virtual conferences, I didn’t even have to fight traffic on I-95 to be here with you.

    I’m really looking forward to our discussion today — especially the Q&A portion.
