NVIDIA Corp. on Monday said its fiscal second-quarter sales would fall well short of expectations amid a steep drop in gaming revenue, and the graphics-chip maker said it would post more than $1.3 billion in charges for inventory and related reserves based on reduced expectations of future demand.
Pfizer Inc. has agreed to buy Global Blood Therapeutics Inc. for $5.4 billion, according to people familiar with the matter, in a deal that would give the big drugmaker a foothold in the treatment of sickle-cell disease.
Pfizer would pay $68.50 a share in cash for Global Blood Therapeutics, which has one of the few approved treatments for sickle-cell disease, the people said. The companies are expected to announce the deal Monday morning. The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that they
