Former minister Steve Brine has been cleared of breaching lobbying rules because no VAT was paid. Brine told then-health secretary Matt Hancock Remedium Partners was "very worth a call".  He received £1,600 a month, but is not deemed a consultant lobbyist as he is not VAT-registered.

A fire broke out at a Cuban oil tank when lightning struck a storage tank during a thunderstorm.  The fire has so far injured 122 people including 5 in critical condition.  Firefighters are working for the second day to control the fire. 

North Korea has offered Russia 100,000 troops to help defeat Ukraine, according to Russian state media. A Russian pundit said North Korean troops could bring useful experience with counter-battery warfare, per reports. North Korea is also reportedly prepared to send workers to help rebuild the Donbas region for Russia.

A fire broke out at a Cuban oil facility, leaving 121 injured and 17 firefighters missing. Cuba asked "friendly countries" for help with the blaze, and the US offered technical advice. The fire began on Friday when lightning struck a crude oil storage tank.

A scientist in Australia named a shiny rainbow fly after TV show host RuPaul. The rare, iridescent soldier fly was named Opaluma rupaul after the star of "RuPaul's Drag Race." "Rainbow colors and legs for days," RuPaul wrote on Twitter in response to the news.
